rest tonight after an all nighter on the water, 2 hours sleep before contractors stormed my place for estimates on flooring/ foundation work yesterday.
hopefully hit the surf again saturday or sunday night. otherwise try to plan out how i'm going to tile my basement floor, waterproof a portion of my foundation, and have fun with a chainsaw.

Going camping tonight to pick my son up from summer camp.
Tomorrow I am taking my daughter out for the day to the North Shore Music Theatre, then out for Dinner and an Ice Cream.....I do all this scout stuff with my son so I need to throw her a bone once in awhile.
Sunday is still up in the air........

Work in the am every day. Will be hitting the water late tonight into early tomorrow AM. Going to a kids birthday party tomorrow afternoon.
No fishing last night due to an encounter with the Grey Goose Girls and a few too many martinis.

Leaving for MV in about an hour. Hoping to get at shot at bonito from shore. I'll be happy with some bass though seeing as I haven't gotten out in a while. Fishing might be limited as I need to be a good guest.

Getting the last of the small "to-do's" done on the boat Saturday for our family vacation in Truro 8/9-22.
Sunday Im bumming a spot on a day-long fluke hunt in Vineyard Sound with my buddy an dhis family who start their vacation in Sandwhich tomorrow. We've never fished the Sound - so its a mix of excitement and the dread of being completely clueless and skunked ...

Today is my oldman's birthday!
He's had a tough few year. Lost his business and had to move in with his girl friend. I'm taking over hosting his birthday weekend at my place in Gloucester. I'm going to try and get him out tonight for the late tide and put him on some fish. It sure would be a nice treat to get him hooked up on a decent fish tonight.

Was hoping for the Edge, but iffy forecast.
Otherwise catch up on some work, relax and hit the surf.

Nice morning in SoCo! Nothing big, but we grinded out and boated two 16's and a 20lb'er on what looked to be a slow morning, with slow moving tide and boats everywhere. Damn blues are everywhere too. They ate a good 18 eels and 8 scup on us! Fluking was excellent and we got a nice 8 fish score of 20-24" fish on a big 6 oz. spro Jigs with half a bluefish fillet on them. I'll take it for a morning of fishing. Weather was beautiful!

Fished yesterday, nada...there was a Cambodian guy fishing next to me, looked like he had a monster on, so he starts yelling to me (to help him, I think), so I go over to help, and he's got like a 15# blackfish on (biggest one I've ever seen), so he hands me his line (which is like 14# test at the most), and the fish turns and the line breaks. All of a sudden, the guy jumps in and somehow gets the fish, which he proceeds to throw at me (this all happened in an an instant). I am flabbergasted, but accept the fish toss an put the monster up on the rocks.
Anyhow, the dude takes the fish (leaves his rod behind) and runs away...ten minutes later, he's back with a buddy who speaks English and he was saying that the old guy was very appreciative.
I told him not a problem, but please never to hurl a fish at me again!!!

So crazy fish story, right...I'm telling the story to Mikey while on the phone on my porch, and who should pull up? It's Mr. Sprinkles himself, the Specialist...not what I had planned on for the weekend, but it turned out great in the end!
