Best place for Oct new moon

With the price of gas and a few vehicle problems it looks like I will fish less this year. I am thinking of making up for it though by taking the week of September 28th thru Oct 4th off. If I did this where would the place to go be?

I'd say take your pick! thats an awsome week to go fishing. There should be good fishing everywhere so start from one end of the bay and go to the other. Stock up on pencil poppers now before there are shortages.

still by the firelight
and purple moonlight

I think it is partially decided. I talked to my brother today and a few days of it will be spent on Cuttyhunk. Montauk in September might be too much like salmon season in downtown Pulaski for me, I've always gone in November before. Probably my wisest choice for the rest of the time would be South County since I will have less trouble with access there and Gansett to Westerly is a big area.

very tough to choose just one................

go for the EWall, the Bways, or the Aves since
that is closer to where you are. i chose The Hunk,
not because i've ever been there,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,mostly

due to Mike Laptew's incredible DVD, "Stripers Gone Wild"!!

*sadly* my Oct New will be on the Other Cape and it SHOULD
be werry, Werry, WERRY Fishy by THEN??? Cape Ann deserves mention
imho, but then again, there's NO FEESH along those shores...........
