The worse news is he was standing 15 feet away from me when he caught it...
Seriously, fishing with the NIB was a pleasure. The guys is tops in my book, we had a fun night w/lots of laughs. Congrats on the catch too, NIB.
S-B has some major heavyweight shore fish still to come, should bump us up to second. Can't say who, but it wasn't me..

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

I was actually downwind. 15 feet was as close as I dared to get.

I heard about that one, it must have been painful to get nibbed by the NIB, but as you said , I'm sure you were happy for him. NIB is a funny bastard, good fisherman too.

Almost time to hit the panic button. We only have the ability to weigh in 2-3 more fish\weeks, and if these storms come, its gonna be nasty with big surf and approaching bright moon and over for the majority of surf endevors, especially down on the south facing side of america.
Lets not kiss our sister for 2nd place. Lets go home with the prom queen and 1st.
Get out and fish.

I should've sic'ed my dog on him when we had the chance. Maybe there's still time to put superglue in his sub sandwich.

This Northerly wind direction has killed me the last 10 days. I hoped to get out everyday of my vacation last week and only managed one trip and it was standing room only where i went and a beating on my way home. but it would have only been a boat fish anyway if I'd had some luck. Congrats to Tony. Anyone who drives all the way from Jersey deserves a nice fish in my book

The Niblet should also be congratulated for his epic battle with a nice smoothie the night before with me. He secretly told me he really comes up here to fish for doggies.

Wind has killed things for me. hopefully the storm will clear in time for a last push. some cloud cover and calm conditions next weekend and it may be on, or this storm could push 'em out. Putting in time with the wife this weekend to make way for next week, I hope. TO's fish will help, but we need a few high 40s or 50s.

if my math is right,,,,,,,,,,,,,
those two fish will add a 20pt difference, and
vault us into 2nd place!!! those are just rough estimates
and i did go a little conservative. we'll have to see what they weigh when certified!! Nice job T.O. and you are RIGHT, Clogston, we will need sum high 40's and mid 50's to retain THE Cup!!
keep pushing on, gents,,,,,,,,,
i know that my pb didn't come from the NShore last year until 9/13,
but that is cutting it waaaay WAY too close

question about the cup . do you have to be registered for striped-bass.com in the tourney or just be a registered user on the site to weigh in fish. just was wondering how it works?

You had to list sb.com as your club on the entry form when you signed up, and pay the club entry fee.
You can still register if you haven't entered, but with about 2 weeks left in the tournament, it probably wouldn't make much sense---unless you know where there's a pile of 45 pounders stacked up and they'll still be there on Sunday (you also have to be registered for 24 hours before you can enter a fish).
