went out in the rain

and scored my first shore caught plug fish in a while, had been getting the skunk this fall so far, guess the persistance paid off, felt really good, it hit on a swimmer, almost as soon as it hit the water, wanted to stay but the rising tide threatened my way out of where I was, gonna go back tomorrow and see if I can find some bigger fish.....

I tried fishing yesterday from shore in the rain. no such luck though. the surf was brutal from kyle going by. 4 foot waves crashing the beach made things difficult. going to try again tonight I think.

the nautil is awesome in the surf, I paired it with a 9' lami I got recently, nice to have a reel I'm not scared of getting a little wet9acutally alot wet SAt. night with the big surf) no problem on the fish, the boat fish came on an older Penn 320 gti with a powerstick rod, hell of a fight though
