I was going to newport to hang out with a friend who works on a giant sailboat there but health issues have waved the caution flag on that one. Probably hanging around grilling all weekend

Fishing tonight - I'm not a quitter, dammit, but I'm not sure stubborn alone gets fish
Work Saturday and Sunday, gotta go over to the Edge at some point to get the Habs photos that I shot from Pete's computer and post 'em here.
That oughta do it - still a little shagged out from the tourney and haven't been able to catch up on the ZZZZZ's with a real sick pooch who's been keeping us up at night.
Well, that and not letting a little thing like sleep deprivation get in the way of your fishing schedule

Fishing hard both Weekend nights. Really going to give it hell this weekend. Lets hope I can get out of 20lb bass hell and really end the year on a good note.... maybe something in the 40lb range?

Upon further review, that sounded a bit pompous. That is basically the size fish I have been getting into pretty consistently. My numbers were really good this year, I just lacked those real good quality fish I have had in the past. (I also have dropped a few real big fish, thanks to a nicked leader and a straightened Kalin's jig head.)
I was basically bitching that this just has not been a year of big fish for me. I have worked hard for fish but just haven't stumbled across a real slug of big fish like I have in years past. Pretty much doing the right things at the right times, just don't have the horeshoe thats all.

I've got my neice's birthday party tonight, head south tomorrow morning and look for some fishies, then a friends daughters birthday party tomorrow afternoon, then try to get out again early Sunday for some fishing before going home to a yard full of leaves that need to be blown and raked. By Sunday afternoon I should be ready to crash on the couch with some snacks and football on tv.

Correction to BB's Spanish
Back Beach,
The correct usage to describe a mama bass is "Una Gorda".

Sailing over to catalina in about 3 hrs on a 40' hunter then waking up tomorrow morning and doing some diving. Their are supposed to be a ton of bonita out there right now so we'll do some trolling on the front side of the island in the afternoon. Hopefully catch dinner and then tie one on at a bar in avalon. I'm psyched.
