Last year I saw this one, i think it was in a Cabala's catalog. It's made of hi-vis plastic...making it easier to see in the dark, on the bottom of the boat, or at the bottom of a tackle bag. It locks closed...like a pair of plastic vise-grips. It has the cord that goes around your wrist, and a hole in the end of the handle, so you can hook a scale onto it and weigh the fish....best of all they only cost $20, so no big deal when you lose it.

Mike is the lip Area made to better tolerances than the Berkley. Sometimes the Berkleys get stuck in a closed position, or won't lock on a fish.

The orange fish gripper from Cabelas Young Salt is holding is $9.99. I have used one for two years and have landed over 800 stripers with it. This summer I also landed alot of blues. It's a little beat up but still works great! I see Cabelas has a digital scale from Rapala has anyone used it?

I used the Rapala digital scale all this year. I have the 50lb model and I keep it in my boat. I believe it to be quite accurate.
