Now is the time to fish the ditch!

SAGAMORE BEACH - The Cape Cod Canal was closed to maritime traffic for about 2 1/2 hours this afternoon after a 45-foot Atlantic right whale swam into the Sagamore end of the waterway.

Anyone see this?

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Had a whale swim through the canal a few years ago when I was fishing the east end...low tide and the whale was about a short cast away! Great thing to see!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I once saw a dolphin or porpoise hanging out around the east end. When I first saw the splash I thought it was atleast a 50, but after a few more splashes and a closer look it ended up being a dolphin. Quite the sight though.

In Sept of this year I saw a whale smack it's tail about 100 yards from me towards and heading out the east end. I could tell it was a whale by the flat V-shaped tail. Cool sight but happened very quick, two or three years ago a giant sunfish flapping around in front of me at the west end was pretty cool too, it hung around for quite awhile didn't know what the hell it was at first.
