Extremely tremendous. This hand carving thing is the niche I would like to do. It would break up the monotony of spinning. Is this a topic that can be touched on a Plugfest?

pbadad, this may be a DUMB question, BUT why would you want to Hand Carve when you can SPIN THEM Id give anything to be able to spin them an get a beautifly shaped body instead of shaping an sanding all day long ,Id bet that NOT one of the plugs I have ever built, has been the same, they all have there owne personality DIFFERENT, take a look at the SCHOOL of TROUT I posted for
PLUG- FEST man there ALL a little DIFFERENT, if I had SPUN them they would have looked 100% better
GOOD LUCK GOOD PLUGGIN

Carving is a world unto itself.... Don't do it to save time.... The trade is you can get some pretty amazing profiles and action. Just don't get started on the lexan lips.... Makes you appreciate metal lips and lip slots real fast!

Thanks for the kind words everyone. These were a nice change of pace from the same old same old, and a fun build.

I agree 100% on the lexan lips. You really have to be on the money with your angles and hardware placement. I like the ability to be able to tune things a bit with a metal lip. Kinda stuck with what you got with lexan. And making slots is a pain.
