A Little Scout Ice-Fishing....
Took the troop up north for a little Ice Time this past weekend. Got them out on the Ice for about 4 hours on Saturday....wind was brutal....solid 25-30 mph all afternoon. Flags were non-existent but they did manage to jig up a few perch on the rod.
He we are drilling up a few holes....let each kid take a shot w/ the power auger.
Cooking up some Sloppy Joes for lunch.

Success.......
Ice pick races were the trick when it got slow.....
They loved the underwater camera....did 2 holes side by side and they goofed on the fish chasing the jig....
got to see a helicopter land on the ice....

After we cleared out we went back to the Homestead....
Got some grub going.....if anything we don't ever starve.
Dutch Oven Lasagna anybody.......
We also did up a nice Dutch Oven Apple Crisp for a snack.....but I didn''t get to the camera in time 
Great Weekend in all, we fished, we ate, we played some cards....don't get much better than that. |

Looks like you guys had a great time. I really enjoyed Scouting when I was a kid, I'd encourage any parent to get their sons involved.

Looks like it was a great time regardless of how many fish were caught!
