Has anybody seen these new clips ?

Seen'm havent nor will I try them. Just to flimsy and the return wire after the turn too short imo.

I'm going to go against the grain and state that I got a pkg of these to try out and they are very interesting.
What appears not that strong may indeed be much stronger because there is only a straight pull.
I will try them this spring however I do have about 500 backlash clips that work fine and I will use.

The design of those clips is stolen from Breakaway.
Breakaway for many years has sold "Split Oval" snaps.
I should add these clips are the only "shockleader to sinker" clip approved for competition in Sportcast USA casting tournaments and are supplied to contestants.

Actually the design was a variation of Rosco scissor snaps. They have been making them for years

yeah- looks like a McMahon snap........ they're kind of a pain in the ass to use. I'll still tie direct......I like my knots
