Are you getting the spring boat itch?

With the changing of the clocks in 2 weeks and having gone to the boat show...I have the boating itch bad. Been doing boat related project all weekend, from building a radar mount, to cleaning and rebuilding reels.

What are you doing to help cure the itch ?

I'm still a few weeks away from starting.

I need to purchase 2 new batteries, new strap for winch, new fire extinguisher. The trailer needs 6 new rollers, haven't checked the lights yet but they probably need something.

I still have some weld issues on the t-top that need fixing, anygood welders in the area?.

Pre season maintenance sucks but the benefits later are worth it.

I have a battery that was weak last year that I threw on the charger and it is not taking a charge, so I am due for a new battery.

HE[[ YES !!!!!

Getting ready to order the new electronics and thru hull x-ducer.
Already bought oil for the season.
Looking for a new Tuna rod, and I'm ready to order another 50W reel.

So I guess you could say I'm trying to scratch that itch...

Bass Pro has a promotion going on starting in a few days. I believe you can save $100 on this reel, might want to check it out.

I took the cover off the skiff a couple of weeks ago when we had that warm stretch. I also turned the motor over on the muffs and was happy that she ran good. I'll probably splash her in March or sooner. My buddy has an oyster farm and I could help him out seeing I slurp enough of them for free! My reel is ready to go and I need to purchase another one for a new/used rod I'm getting soon. I'm definetly itchy to get out again.

I can't take it anymore!!!

Spent most of the day, workin' on the electronics hooking up the new gps and stereo, mounted my ol' Scotty downriggers (used in Washington for salmon), fired her up to burn out all the fuel stabilizer and if its not too windy this afternoon,, going to take the family out for a spring test drive for an hour or so,....

I also can't stand it anymore so I spent some bucks (helpin' out the country! lame excuse I know) ordered me a long longed for Power Pole for my shallow water stripers.
We're a funny breed. If we can't fish, we piss away money on more stuff then we'll ever need (at least I do)

Put the tires back on, removed jackstands, uncovered the boat. Wanted to get it in for some glass work before putting the seats and electronics back and then..... 12" of crap!

The one thing you can count on about weather in New England is that you can't count on the weather in New England, I'm keeping the wrap on!

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

last year I was so anxious I uncovered in early March which was a bad move.
I'll uncover the first week of April, wash/wax and paint the bottom. Then some minor work. 3rd week of April I plan on getting her engine ready and tuned up. Also live well needs to be replaced. In the water the 4th week of April and fishing the first weekend in May.
