#1 in my opinion is the Clear Smoke Gray... I would also look at the pearl, squid/pink, and white in that order

I belong to the KISS fraternity, Keep It Simple Stupid and if you asked me what color I fish 90% of the time, it would be some variation of a smoke bait. The standard smoke with a mix of glitter works everywhere I fish. You can get fancy and go with my new favorite, which has a clear bottom with holigraphic string glitter and a smoke top with just black glitter in it, it's been hot everywhere I fish. At night a black bait works well, especially if your jigging in the canal, just ask Specialist .

Then you have pearl or white and they work well at times, as do the yellows and chartreuse baits. I've got a guy that orders the 9 inch Big Jerks in 100 counts with white bottoms and green tops, for the islands and south side. He even did well on Tuna with it this year. Clammer's favorite for Naragansett Bay is the marker bouy yellow, so everyone has their favorites. I don't know if your going to Slip's tomorrow, but if you are I'll be packing.
