Fished South County Rhody last night...

Made it down to the souther Charleston area last night and got in only a few hours just after the sun went down. Just had one bump and that was it. There was a TON of weeds there that just started piling on the plug and getting worse as the night wore on. On the way out I was going to hit the Breachway but chose not to as getting up at 4:30 to catch a train with only a little sleep would be too much... Not a flippin' sole out ther either...

The weeds were spotty friday. Tons at the west end of CB , little to none at Fresh pond rock , none at all at weekapaug beach. That may have changed by last night. Who knows what friday night will bring. One lone slob will be all I'm hoping for. Could happen!!

Saltheart,

Whatcha doin' Friday night? Maybe I'll meet up with you. The last two weekends I've had baby birthing classes to attend (in supoort of my wife, not by gut expanding by sympathetic weight gain ) and that has thrown off any possible schedule...

The usual timetable is to be at quaker lane before 7PM to get the eels (usually we get there about 6:45). Then its down to the shore. depending on the wind , we may try Carpenters Bar or just head straight to the other CB. We will keep moving about every hour if we don't find fish , working our way west. Anticipating a tough hunt , we should eventually beat Weekapaug. We'll try the beach and the Fenway(?) then usually head home between 11 and 12:30 PM. So you could meet us at Quaker lane or find us at the spots. We'll be in my vehicle. What's your time table if you can go?

Hope you guys find them...I am still thinking about heading up there this Friday and Saturday night...We will probably cross eachothers path. Saturday night was strictly a tide thing, still can't see the fishing being done up in Rhody, feel that you got a better shot at a big fish than most other areas...Montauk died this week too, dead almost all over. Just think the boaters are doing a number on the fish in Montauk late November thru 1st week of December when all the herring are in full force, those fish are still on the move and I think you guys got some time left, the fishing just get tougher. Good luck, maybe I'll bumb into some of you guys, I'll be in a black ford Bronco with NJ tags....
