boater's world and the Striper Cup

I wonder who, if any company, will step up to help support OTW as a sponsor. Boater's World had a pretty substantial role. Art

rather be fishin'

I'm guessing this is big reason as why they haven't updated the information for this years cup.

I hear AIG is considering a sponsorship...

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind

So all the Boater's World Stores are closing and thousands of people are going to be unemployed and all you guys can think of is your striper tournament? How very mature and compassionate of you!

Good luck finding another company willing to throw away 9 grand on your tournament? The winners would come in and spend their gift cards and you would never see them again. It did not foster any new customers and all the winners ever did was complain that we didn't have what they wanted.

OK, maybe Boater's World is not a "real" tackle store but you are walking in with $250, $500 or $750 in real money and all you can do is complain? Buy stuff and put it on Ebay and use it to buy what you need.

And the guy who was in charge of getting the free rods/reels/tackle to use as door prizes was the biggest jerk I ever saw! They would put together 2 grand worth of rods, reels and stuff and he would come in like they owed him something and try to change it all to stuff he wanted. Hey buddy, it was FREE stuff for you to hand out and look like a big shot! I hate to see the stores close but I am so happy that they won't be having to deal with these jerks anymore.

Oh yeah, and I heard your boat sponsor is also dropping out so it looks like no free boat this year either.
