. . . when I posted these on the forum;

Leftover racks and eels that I had to put in the car to take to my sisters so she could use them for her crab traps/minnow traps. There are types of guys that won't drive their cars in the rain or let stuff like coolers that have sat on the ground into their trunks or onto the leather seats when I put anything and everything I need to transport into the car, it is just a car after all.

I know most of you would do the same thing.

I know, I purposely put the bag down just to make sure no juice got into the carpet and it was a 1.5 mile drive to drop it off.

The Corvette guys want my address so they can come and take my keys away, just not fishermen.

I told them that I could very well have a deer back there this fall and to be on the lookout.

Just had the opportunity to drive my buddies 63 convertable, 327, 365 HP fuelie. Hurst 4 speed for an afternoon. WOW! Can you say rocket ship?

I ran into my wife in the grocery parking lot and told her I just bought it. She wouldn't let me in the house for hours.

there are black bucket tops that fit into/ onto the five gallon buckets that make them sealed and comfortable to sit on...
(they were sold by home depot)

you should at least have one of those as a tool...

I only went .75-mile down the road, .50-mile down another, and .75-mile down another and I was at the destination, so not much chance at "fishtailing" the car or spillage, eek!

I knew the Corvette guys would be all over me as many really care a lot, perhaps too much, about the cleanliness of their cars.

Piemma, really, no such thing as a bad Corvette, absolutely. Being down low with a massive engine in front and with World Class handling and braking, at least in the GenII C5, now if I could only afford a 2005+ C6 . . .

I apoligize for not being aware of the most appropriate use of "horrified", but when I say I'm this close to having guys come to my house with torches, pitchforks and axes to take away my keys, you would think I accosted someones family member with the pic, ha!

Too funny. I was telling my buddy about this post last night as I put a 20lb fish in the trunk of my m3 convertible on top of my wet waders and boots. I wasn't planning on driving but oh well.

Indeed. I am a big fan of the "Stingrays". I owned a 63 split window coupe. 327, 300hp. Numbers matched. I sold it for $10K in 77. And I thought I did good. HA! Worth around 10 times that now.

Interesting to note that the 327, 365HP fuelie in a manual fuel injection as they didn't have the digital back them. I'll tell you that chirped the tires in all 4 gears and I wasn't really on it at all. What I really want to drive is a 427, 425HP big Block. has to be unreal.

Yes, snap a pic of your fish in the trunk of your M3 and post it on your favorite BMW website and watch the sparks fly and prepare for death threats, PM's to moderators to have the entire thread deleted and such, ha!

I think of M3's often, some of those have the twin turbo, 400-HP motors, I do have some massive respect for a lot of those M-Powered cars, but they do cost some $$$.

I'm not old enough to have owned any the "greats", never mind getting the chance to have driven many, however, I can't count how many guys I know who sold cars way back that they wished they had kept. It is like Antiques Roadshow, find out that a car that they sold for $5-10K back then is worth $30-150K now, eek!

The 63-67 is definitely my favorite look as most will agree.

While the current cars are just so much faster in every way, so refined, so quiet and smooth, there is something about the rawness of the first generations, C1, C2, C3's that just appeals to the senses.

The 2009 ZR1 is a SuperCharged 7.0L with some 630-HP, stock, all yours for a bit over $100,000 and will run with any of the Euro-Exotics, I want one.
