WESTPORT POINT
Took a ride to the point with the girl on Sunday while her mom watched the kid. Figured I would let her sit on the dock and watch her catch a few scup. There was beach traffic still at 2pm backed up to the last set of lights. Anyway we were out on the dock when an ambulance and a couple of cop cars showed up. We didn't know what was going to show up. A boat came buzzing in with 2 guys and a 9 year old. Pretty scary at 1st but the kid seemed to be alert. They pulled him off the boat and on to the stretcher. There was 1 guy still in the boat with a pretty large bass. He said the kid caught the fish(his 1st one ever) He got so worked up and so excited that he had a seizure. He looked like the life was drained right out of him. I'm not sure if it had anything to do with the sun or not but either way it made me think about some things. Anyway I hope everything turned out ok for this little guy and that it won't be his last bass.
