What kind of bird is this?
It looks like a small dove or pigeon, very fearless it will walk right up to you. It has been hanging around our yard for a few days now. Flies very well and is quite agile avoiding my cat. Not in my two bird books.
Is it some sort of domesticated pet gotten loose? Has black wingtips and some orange hues on wings when in flight.

Why even try.........

Looks like one of the fancy doves that they sell in pets stores. It could well be an escaped pet.

Steve, that bird fairies art the store at the Orleans rotary near the Goose will cream if you send that to them for ID. Call them up and email it to them. Just don't tell them where you live. On second thought, give them Stiffy's addy, if he's back.

Check this out: http://www.birdsinbackyards.net/bird/258
Looks like an escaped bird from the pet trade. Page is called "Birds in the Backyard". Only trouble is the backyards are in Australia! May be a female thus colors are muted.

unfortunately
Albino birds don't have the natural coloration to blend in with their surroundings and rarely survive.

it's a plover. It is nesting in your yard, probably snuck home in your plug bag. Kill it before they find out.
