Holdovers

Happy new year everyone and their famalies.

I know that the providence and thames river and the narrow have holdovers all season long if you want to brave the cold and wintery weather. and ive been doing ok in the spots I know that have holdovers.

But what about the cc canal end or some of the other saltwater river systems, like the palmer or seekonk rivers?

Has anyone ever tried different spots or others? I'm sure some have but never discussed it.

Just curious.

wats up with norwich?

Wats up with the new signs thats say no fishing near the boat docks in norwich harbor? i thought we could fish by that restaurant cuz its closed during the winter. and it says shore line access. i know the docks are not legal but now u cant even fish near them. were is it legal to fish there now just the boat ramp and is behind the police station still good or u get in trouble? i went there this past weds and got one striper thats it but was better than nothing but the ice is making it tough out there especially with all the prime spots being cut down. just wondering wat this world is coming to when people gotta to ruin fishing first no fishing at the bridge in new bedford now norwich why do some people hate fishermen so much we just want to relax and have fun. it seems like they are making us pay more to fish and there are less spots. well at least it seems like it to me for all the spots i enjoy fishing.

The problem isn't the fisherman it's the drunk fisherman and the ignorant ones. The problem with the dock is, there was a drunking fisherman who walked out on the docks he tripped, fell and then sued.So the old man who owns the docks made it off limit and now there is a-holes that still walk out on the dock Which is now why there are signs. As far as fishing behind the police station last year there were only a few cops who enforced.Yet again the a-holes ruined that because somebody a fisherman broke into one of the cops pesonal cars. Now if you get caught behind there its a $125 .00 citation. You are aloud to fish of the boat launch dock, the main dock and the rocks in city park.If you have a boat your allset just dont leave anything of any value in your truck or car.
