Masterlure eels
Here's a big group of Masterlure eels I just finished for a swap on the other site. I'm very happy I built a few extras for myself and I just might have one for trade a plugfest. The first picture shows my version in comparison to the original. They swim down 1-2 feet on a normal retrieve. I'll probably rig my own with a flag tail but the swim best with 3 trebles as they balance out the plug. They weigh in at 3 3/8oz and measure 9".

Great plugs.
I'm curious, what does your original weigh? I've seen several versions.

I used a unmodified Pikie 3. The original also has a pikie 3 but its bent much different. This caused me to change the weighting and slightly modify the body.

Thanks. I have one that looks identical to yours. It weighs 3.75oz and has a weight each side of the joint. I think the later versions with the cupped eyes were lighter (but don't have one to check).

It's not the bait
At the end of your line
It's the fishing hole
Where all the fish is blind
