Who Made The MSBA Show?

Great show I thought!! I went today with Hooligan and spent 4 1/2 hours there checking out some great gear and catching up with old friends! Must have talked with about 50 fellow S-B'ers! Roy's seminar was great! Nice job Roy! Zeno and Tommy...great seeing you guys as always! Great job MSBA!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I spent all day Saturday there, made 3 trips to the truck to stash purchases. Today split 2 cords of fire wood.

Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

I met RIJimmy there on Saturday. We both brought our sons and had a great time. I really like the laid back atmosphere of that show. It was nice to meet Professor M, Joe from SRI and John R. Also nice running into Eelskimmer somewhere in the Sally Blair Ames Sports Sports Complex and seeing all the usual vendors like Point Jude Joe and Salty. Thanks MSBA for putting on another great show.

In at 10:00 AM Sat. Out by Noon. Saw a bunch of old friends. Got what I wanted. Spend less than $30. I just have way too much stuff already.

No boat, back in the suds.

Saw a couple hundred from S-B and saw a few people I haven't seen in years. Good time, hope you get much of what you needed. The one thing I really needed, a particular rod, was gone by the time I was looking Sat afternoon.

Good seeing a lot of you, props to MSBA for a smooth show.

Will post a few pictures over next couple days...

Thanks for ten years

Feelings were mutual Karl, although caught a bit off guard,, be nice to chat longer next time as we've shared some good threads in the past.,,, and it's Always great to put a face on a screen name. <Gilly>

As for the show, perhaps I don't pay enough attention. I was expecting more vendors and more people (crowd) based on what I had read. I HOPE the vendors made enough $$$ to cover booth costs. A bit disappointed the Jerkee guy was only selling strips for $1, as a pound would have proven more cost effective for a jerkee-junkee like me. He warned me on the HOT flavor {}, I guess my portagee T-buds are worn out as it was far from hot.
I also [personally] think vendors should have better 'show' prices, but what do I know...I always want cheaper than cheap prices, so don't take it personally.
I did catch the DJ/Muller show. It was a very basic introductory to wetsuit-fishing. I'm not sure what I was expecting, I guess. Perhaps he's right in being more "safe" than risky. Thought I saw a face in the audience that I've seen on here somewhere, Milo thought it was numbskull ???

Good seeing RickHern & crew. Saw the bossman, he looked tired ..Shook T-Timber's hand again ???, then I got possessed into following "the Light", by the infamous MSBA guys...hope they raised enough coin for their youth program...I missed the phone call last night, please ship my prize to the address listed on the ticket stub.

All in all, it was a decent Sunday out of the house. Will try to make the RISSA show for comparison. Everybody LOVES a critique.

EDIT: Sorry., ...My post reads negatively. .. I am GLAD that I went. It sounded like a complaint, it was not. I meant no disrespect to the MSBA members and volunteers for their hard work in putting it together. They do a GREAT job each year. How can one complain about prices while at the same time hope the vendors covered their costs?

Went to the show on Saturday. Saw a lot of the guys from tri-state and others who I've met on the beach along the way.

DJ's presentation on wet suiting was interesting for me because I needed the basic part plus he answered some questions I had after the presentation.

Over all well organized and set up.

Got there at 3 Saturday and stayed to closing. Place was pretty empty in the afternoon. I know most are there for the opening bell but i did what I could. I thougfht there were some interesting things there and some real oppurtunities for bargains. The 4 lures from Don Blizzard was an awesome deal IMO. I was also very interested in the line of Century rods Ryan from Hatteras Jacks had there. Good to see hima nd Big Dave after a couple years. Tended the S-B booth so John could take a leak now and then and quite a few guys came by. I really likesd the location this year. Hopefully the MSBA will settle on one particular place and try to make it the same place every year.

Good show overall put on by MSBA!

thanks to everyone that came out to the show, all of the months of work leading up to it seemed to pay off. the weather was great, the opening door Saturday was awesome and I got to see and talk to a lot of familiar people.
Happy 10th anniversary to S-B, looking forward to many more years, keep up the great work John.
