That was a great day. I loved doing that. However, his interest wained.

He's only 6-1/2 so I'm not expecting this to go very far...but when you can find a complete kit (just need batteries and engines) at TJMaxx for 19.95 some things are just worth doing.
My expectation is he'll last about 3 launches.

This kit is pretty cool. Comes with the launch pad and ignition system, along with parts to make two rockets. All the fins are press fit plastic so it's nearly impossible to screw up.
The smaller rocket we made with a C engine is going to scream, I hope we can find it...

How many points do you get when you hit an outfielder....infielder....pitcher.....the batter?
|
Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

I loved doing that as a kid. Exciting and disciplined hobby when done right. Do they still have little cameras for the rockets?

I was into that when I was a kid_ lots of fun. Then I discovered girls and got married. Now I'm thinking of getting into model rocketry again.

Who's the long haired hippy in the pix?
Nice, i used to have all kinds of rockets when i was younger. then when i got older they all got packed full of powder and blown to kingdom come! Get him one of those 3 stage bad boys that has 3 D engines! I fired one off and thing went to the moon, never saw it again.
