Canal yesterday, early evening

Took the wife and dog to the ditch. Dog and the wife went for a walk and I spent an hour casting. Very nice evening, no fish though. I finally worked up the courage to cast one of the three plugs I made with Bigfishes help. It cast great and I didn't lose it, so that was good. Slack tide lasted quite awhile. Just as we left and were going around the rotary to head over to Onset for an errand I saw two guys in different pickup trucks coming down the ramp dogging each other. They had rods in the back I wonder how they made out.

It is kind of funny how the dog does't want to lose sight of me. It is happiest sitting up on the edge of the road watching the plug fly.
