This Gulf Oilspill
Is about to become a disaster of monumental proportions. It's in the Gulf Loop Current. Soon to be in the Atlantic Ocean. Guys, the next fish you catch could be your last.

NPR has a discussion based on review of video setting it at 11,000 barrels a day or 610,000 gals a day.

A URI oceanographer says it won't hit our beaches. The gulf will be a dead zone for who knows how long , what degree has the fish in Prince William Sound recovered 30 years later?

There was a Federal law passed within the last 5 years after Valdez which limits liability to $75 million. There was talk several weeks ago of making an exception to this law for this spill. I don't know if it happened. You and me will end up paying for it somehow. Probably higher taxes after snowbama steps in.

"The BP executive in charge of fighting the spill, Chief Operating Officer Doug Suttles, said he understands the public frustration. He told the CBS "Early Show" on Friday that in the worst case scenario, the gusher could continue until early August"

"A panel of experts assessing the rate of flow of the oil since the disaster began gave a best estimate on Thursday that was 2.4 to 3.8 times the estimate of 5,000 barrels a day offered for weeks by BP."

The tab for BP is going to be based on the amount of oil lost...you think they have motivation to underestimate?
