My buddy swears by these release floats called RediRig. He's been fishing LI sound around Northpoint Bay and he's been averaging 3 a trip using bunkers under them. Anybody else using these and had success?

No, they suck. Your "buddy" lied to you.
Nice attempt.
A buddy of mine used those RediRigs earlier this season. He was allegedly using them to liveline herring in Buzzards Bay. According to him, inside the packaging were detailed descriptions of how to gather herring and rig them on bait hooks.
He didn't hook up at all. Then he decided to release all the herring, took the RediRig off the line, tied on a popping plug and started hooking up on his first cast.
I can't confirm any of this as I heard it 2nd hand but according to his report, if I were you FishinBig, I'd steer clear of those rigs.
I heard someone got cancer fishing those rigs. coincidence?
I don't think so....

For anyone looking in at this thread at the ruthless wordoggery going on, the general consensus is that when a person signs up and within 5 minutes asks if we've heard of the greatest (insert device here) that his (insert person here) has ever seen, and do we have an opinion on it, it almost always or self promotion.
Don't worry Joe, it happens to everyone, don't blame the float...

I tried them and they didn't work. I ended up throwing them away just to make sure I didn't forget how bad they were and didn't want to waste any more time trying them again.
