Looking for a good taxidermist to repair a skin mount

When I moved last year my striped bass (skin mount) was damaged. I want to see if I can have it repaired. (a couple od the small fins near the gills are broken) I live in RI . Anyone know of an experienced taxidermist in the area?

The fish was originally mounted by a fellow in CT (Gilford, I think) but I can't seem to find him. He did some nice work, his living room looked like a Zoo with all the animals and fish he had. He did an exceptional job but I just would like someone to repair the fin damage.

Hi Sandman, I have a name of a guy who I met last year at the springfield show, he is out of Middletown
CT, name is Joseph Pitruzzello, Phone # 860-613-2067, he does some of the most beautiful mounts of stripers I have ever seen, might want to give him a call, can't hurt. Hope this helps!!!

Sandman, the place Bill was/is to have his mounted is the same place Fisherwoman talks about, Northeast Taxidermy, in Middleton,Ct.

He says he has seen their work and it is excellent...

Good Luck,

John

Sandman,

Janet Messineo on the Vineyard specializes in skin mounts and does incredible work. She's listed in Vineyard Haven.

I've seen some of her work and she does a nice job as well. And I think Wally Brown in Mass is now retired....
