Been out as much as I can. I too am being stalked by herds of bull squirrels.
My buddy was in a stand about 75yds from me. He had 3 come in. Shot a 4 pointer? 3 points on 1 side, broken off on the other. Reloaded. Waited. Used bleat call. One of the other 2 returned and shot a button buck.

Its good to hear that your seeing some deer... I had scented up an area and hunted it for 4 straight days during shotgun and along came the pushers. It was a nice 6 pointer.... My buddy texted me that morning "is that you", he counted 5 shots to take that deer.
Years not over....

Was that the last saturday of shotgun? If it was I know who pushed it to you , too bad you didn't get it, it wasn't any of the pushers who got it either
I was just wondering if you heard that guy during sat muzzleloadr What a frieken tool.
SO far that makes 3- 8pts. and a 6 pts out of there in a 4 week period that we know of...

Yah he shot it within 100 yards of my stand, I went down to check on him after he was yelling. I didn't know if he was hurt or not. Still lots of deer in there but all those 8 pts were 3 1/2 year old deer. There is still a monster in there that has been seen by a few of us. I hope to get out one more time but doesn't look good.

Were you out behind Benny's? Someone shot an 8 yesterday morning, and when he finally found it every deer in a 10 sq mile radius heard him screaming and hollering

Bring a grunt call and give a aggressive long grunt, if he doesn't move keep it going. Once he starts coming, STOP grunting, he knows where you are and get ready for the shot. Its the only way to get a buck away from a doe. I once broke a 6 pointer away from 2 doe. Give it a try!
Its like a guy picking a fight to get the girl....
Good luck buddy!
