"Paint"ing problem solved

After much bullchit, and after cleaning and cleaning, and friekin another cleaning I couldn't get the Badger 360 to work. Finally I took the head off and the two-piece head and the TIP. I then put paint through the air brush. Needless to say it went all over the place, but it did blow paint through and by the needle. I then put the TIP (regulator) over the needle without either of the two-piece head on the brush.. It appeared to blow paint through and by the TIP and needle. I could see paint wrapping itself around the needle tip as it exited the TIP, but it didn't look right. I thought it would spray a decent, not perfect, pattern at this juncture and it didn't. I new what the results of the next move was, (putting the two-piece head back on the air brush), and I was correct, nothing went well. No paint, so the problem was before the head, but after the air brush. Today I went and (I was and I am going to buy a new 360 tomorrow at Michael's, great sale) purchased a new TIP and needle. The reason I bought the TIP was the one in the 360 that wasn't working looked as if it was discolored from original. I think its brass and if I had to guess I would say it has rust on it, and was seating itself properly over the needle inside the main body of the air brush, allowing paint to flow around the outside of the TIP and not through the TIP and out the hole in the end of the TIP like its supposed to.

I was right. I replaced the TIP and needle and the 360 works just like new. I am going get one that has a larger cup on top, at least I was thinking about this, hopefully tomorrow.

you're needle could have been possibly been bent. Another common problem is the tip has a mellow taper so sometimes the dried paint is right before the opening stopping the paint from shooting out. I usually take the needle and push it in the tip backwards then reverse it and sometimes it will push any crap through.

Glad you got it to work. Some days I stop painting after 5 minutes. Couple of mishaps and a problem or two I can't figure out and I just know its not a good day for me to have a airbrush in my hand.
