Poll:

So I won this and it came without the Plano box.
I claim the box is part of it. The seller claims it's not.
Who's right?

You paid 4 bucks for 8 lures and you're beotching about the box?

Listing doesn't say anything about a box so you should have asked. I vote for the seller here.

Hey Mike, why are all your pics gone from old threads?.... I was searching for those paint tutorials...

Technically the seller is right because the box wasn't listed but.............the seller should not have included the box in the picture as it is misleading.

The listing was for 8 lures, doesn't mention the box, so the seller is right.

A little misleading due to the photo.

Not as bad as what happened a few years ago.

People were listing flat screen tvs and selling them crazy low, offering free shipping too. But when the tv showed up at your house it was just a scale photo of the tv!!!

They wrote the description right and the buyers didn't read it fully enough and the seller was found of doing nothing wrong.

So always read the description and ask questions.

I sell alot on ebay.
As long as the seller's description is accurate, you are SOL....

You still did well, considering there are lots of scams going on there.
The bos is only worth a couple of bucks.

I have lots of spare boxes if you want one..

If you really need a box then use a white bucket and look like a real googan.

No boat, back in the suds.

Can't really argue with the wording

There was a guy selling a picture of his new VS200 for something like $225, The item description (not the tittle) had in bold letters THIS IS A PICTURE OF MY NEW VAN STAAL. The thing is he got a couple of people, 2 or 3 when I checked completed listings who probably saw the title VS200 with "buy it now" $225 and people were hitting the buy it now without reading thinking they found and outstanding deal and didn't want to miss it taking the time to read.

This seller was probably going to include the box but after seeing what the final bid was reconsidered and said screw it I'm not giving them the box, never said I would. No big loss, and it's not worth the hassle, I would use caution with this seller in the future.

I would still give the seller positive feedback, if the transaction went smoothly otherwise. You could go neutral, but is it really worth having your feedback numbers affected negatively? Lesson learned at a very little cost.

No Box

Ebay is a den of thieves. People trying to steal goods at below value , people trying to steal money for below value goods.

Be very careful when you enter it.

Don't feel bad. I got taken for over 300 bucks on a fake China made 1885CC Morgan. It was over the 30 day dispute for Paypal before I found out about the fake. I have his addy and have sent letters, reply was he had no idea and would pay me. Never happened and he dissapeared from Ebay. He lives in the middle of nowhere in N.C. Too bad You can't drop smart bombs from Google Earth! Buyer beware.. 30 years ago I would have driven down and said hello..
