Badfish Grand Re-opening

Badfish Outfitters is having their grand
re-opening this weekend. Larger retail
space and new features. Moved to
80 Davis Straits, just off RT 28 in down-
town Falmouth, next to McMenemy's
Restaurant. Chris Parrisi says open
Saturday at 8AM. Good weekend
weather for a drive down.

Falmouth B&T to the left, Eastman's to the right, 3 tackle shops in 2 miles, strange move.

Competition may be good but this is likely to kill one of the three.

I doubt it will hurt Bad Fish. The Bad Fishboys are centered/geared for the tuna/canyon/bluewater boys. They have found a nice niche. I think expanding their selection will only help them. The current tuna regs might even help them since the southern waters behind the Vineyard and points south hold more species of pelagics and typically hold the smaller bluefin. I think a lot of the backside regulars will be heading south looking for mahi and yft's this year rather than hnt the bft's off of Chatham. Plus they are super friendly. I wish them well.

I stopped going to Eastman's a few years ago because every time I went in they acted like pricks and acted like I had no idea what I was doing.

I live right down the street from the Bad Fish place in North Falmouth and they were always very nice and knowledgeable. Went there most of the time that I needed stuff.

I also like Falmouth B&T, nice guys in there, plus their hours are better. Open early and late. They are also knowledgeable on the offshore scene too.

As long as they are open early, they will see a good deal of business from me in the AM before charters. I have known the guys from Eastman's for years and treat me well, but because of the banker hours I have been going to Falmouth B&T.

This is a much better location for them, but I agree someone is going to get hurt with 3 tackle shops so close....It's like Dunkin Donuts for tackle shops one on every corner. Works for me!
