West Coast fishing

hey everybody!

I've been reading your posts for like a month now, i feel your pain for waiting on the fish! I'm glad that im in Cali, I have the San Luis REsovior 45 mins by. Striped bass avaliable all year long= )
Hearing about the wait for the striped bass to swing by bites me.
Anyways, just wanted to share my 2 cents.

Hey - welcome aboard... Heck with bass fishing! I was having a blast hooked up to a Sturgeon for 5 minutes from shore on Sherman Island! Then got a couple bass too - in February!

... and none of you left coast guys mentioned that you DON'T park at the bottom of a levee when it rains...

The bait

Well, where we fish we like to use bait, i prefer slices of anchovies. On some of the occasions where i feel like i wanted to cast i'll use a bomber. I still prefer bait fishing because u'll get more bites. Big or small u'll never know, thats what makes fishing fun, the anticipation of catching a World Record! Just this Tuesday, 4/17/03 i hooked up with 35 stripers, 5 keepers! If you count the five of us there was prolly 75 fish caught that day..

Dont you hate it when you lose your poll?

Well, fudge.

I already lost 2 polls this week. Losing your poll is prolly the disadvantage of bait fishing, because if you have 2 polls like myself, u'll prolly pay more attention to one of the other. By the time you notice your other poll, its prolly gone to the lake.
Well im off to go by another!!! Would have loved to see how big the fish was....
