Tuna on Stellwagen today
There were confirmed tuna sightings by 2 charter boats today. Boys lets go get 'em. Should see by bunch caught on the swc this weekend. 120' - 150' would be a great spot to start. Black bars or live macks should get the job done.

Plenty of bait on the SWC but mostly devoid of boats today. Those charter guys had better eyes than us through all the fog to see tuna. We had the tuna tackle but saw no reason to deploy. We took a scouting trip east and found the fleet but no signs of tuna. Lots of cod jigging going on but the wind/current made for a very fast drift....

My cod charters last sat & sun,
Sat absolutely no drift, unless I put the boat over a pile we did not catch.
Sunday's trip just the opposite. Pretty snotty out with a fast drift covering ground, though we were in shallow depths. Wasn't marking much all morning but we were catching all morning at a very good rate till the tide ended.
I won't bother with tuna till june 1

A well known tuna store is claiming a 76" tuna was tagged and released yesterday on the SWC. I'd say they are here just not that many boats out for them yet. As for tuna and fog, you can be 1/4 mile away and not see the boats bailing on them if they are on them. I've been on both sides of the fog fence. Killing them when others aren't and vice versa. That's Chatham all summer long and some days on the bank. Tight lines.

Trolling bars or anything else is going to be really tough with all the grass floating in the water! Hope it clears out soon.
Water temps 52 - 53 at the highest.

It was. We went on the 60' Ritchie bassin' and had a blast. The excitement and the smiles on the kids faces were priceless. It is amazing how an adult bunker in a live well can keep a bunch of kids amazed.
