When I was installing my antennae's on my top I removed the cord/ lacing and saved it for matching length to put a new clean line on.

When I was done, I threw on a few wire ties as a temporary fix and kept on putting more and more as the fit became better & better, tighter & tighter.

Bought some UV resistant ties and plan on using those instead. THe advantage would be the it's a lot easire to remove & replace if you want to work on the frame, elctronic box or "polish your metal" without getting crap all over the line.

Any disadvantages?
