Frech Montauk Darters, Jinx Surfcaster, Sand eels, & Swimmers

Finishing up a bunch of stuff I plan to use at Cutty this weekend.

Made 3 of the Screw eye 6 and 5/8 inch darters according to one of the articles Frech published in the Fisherman ... decided to stick to SS screweyes instead of thru wiring... made them in yellow birch... I decided to move the stern belly hook back just aft of the wt position so 4/0s will not marry while casting

Then a yellow Rinehart Jinx Surfcaster with sparkles. Playing with the weighting to get it to swim subsurface

After loving the sand eel plug that Big D traded with me at Plugfest... at Race Pt the big girls loved this skinny plug, I had to make some more in maple and use some 7/32 OD tail weights centered in the plug... just uses a 4/0 or 5/0 dressed siwash

And a surfster and a swimmer that I have been doing well with off the cape

Chris those are sweet.

I have some vintage stuff you should take a look at, lots of duplicates I can lend you.

Think youve pretty much built a little of everything this season.

thanks again for the large nike, casts like a loaf of bread, but swims insane.

Rinehart made the surfcaster with two different diving lips. The one you have is made to run deeper and the one to run shallower has a straight lip on it.

Hey Cris, I am interested in one. Do you just refurbish old ones or make new and are they wood or plastic?

Chris they look great! Hope you have a good weekend at Cutty. I would add one large plug to the bag also, say a nice Pikie

Great stuff as always, Chris! Keep it up!
