Thinking About a New Lake for the FoABBIT

Hi Guys,
True to our requests, I think we need a new pond for the FoABBIT. I was thinking about Quaboag Pond, which is a little to the north from Long Pond. Anybody like this spot (I thought since jr. is on the way and last year was a slushy mess, that I would start to think bigger).

Later,
Rick

thats used heavily for ice sailing and is quite shallow
not to mention an ice fishing tourney held there by the town.

Nice Pike location, but slow fishing
I would still say Comet pond is better ... way more fish and they even stock salmon

Messy Matty and I just ran the numbers, and it looks like we'll do Comet Pond. We also just looked at lodging and there is a Super 8 in Gardner that looks like it's about six miles to the north of the pond. Rates look to be about $60 per night with tax.

It looks like a very good place to fish, and I think that it will suffice to provide the trout fishing that we have been talking about over the last six months.

Thanks,
Rick

My vote is for a body of water that has either Pike, salmon or lake trout. Wouldn't mind doing it in northern MA or southern NH... Although the NH license is an issue.

Pike, salmon or lakers would be nice. But I'd like to stay in mass.

Let's make sure the jihads have heat in my room this year when it's 10 degrees out so we don't have to take a ride in a cruiser to the next motel.lol.

god I wanted to slap the #^&#^&#^&#^& out of you the next morning trying to find the "Lucky Inn" or whatever, took me and chris FOREVER!! It was worth it though pulling up to that place; you guys looked like you got wasted, got in a fight with locals, puked everywhere, and got in another fight with western mass motel owners, and cops. o wait that all happened

BTW comet sounds good. I'll bring the tottie

something clever and related to fishing

FYI have fished comet many times while there have been a few good fish taken it is extremely slow most of the time if you want action it is not the place. Others that have fished it a lot will tell you the same. Also look at the year the review was written, 1998.

Just made a handle of beach plum vodka and gonna make some bacon infused bourbon a little closer to the holidays. I am very excited for the change of venue this year.
