I would deffinately sell if I didn't know who my partner was. Registry of deeds should be able to tell you who the other Partner is or the assessors office

You can't sell half. You can have the other party buy you out and they can refinance to pay you your half. That's about it. How did you acquire half of a 3 unit without knowing who owned the other half? Pm me the address and I'll have my attorney find out who owns it with you and if there are any liens on it. He won't charge me as I do regular real estate business with him.

Speak to a real estate attorney. That's the only way you're going to get the right advice. I'm not one of those kinds of lawyers. The laws in every state are different, and a lot is going to depend on the state of the deed and how the property is held. And if you inherited the interest in the property, hope that it was probated correctly.

It was left to me by my grandmother around 1983
My aunt(not really) was the other owner, she died 8-11 years ago and left her 1/2 to ? .
They all came over on the boat around 1918ish

Aside from the suggested information above the following link will enable you to search and view deeds, etc.

Hidetide, great minds think alike except I was a minute quicker.
The link is good but the page at times does not load therefore try the link below.

good info , but it will only list the last recorded document ,
it does not track back 40 plus years in a simple search
I have used this a ton of times to see what people have paid or what they own ...lol

The last recorded document should reference the previous document deed's book and page. Then search by book and page that is if the search engine provides such search feature. Just saying what I believe you already know.
