Almost a Disaster

i Stepped outside last night to plug in the
Mosquito ZAPPER and the cat is standing there
in the driveway staring at the skunk 15 feet away who
wants to get into the backyard to eat sunflower seeds

the skunk is Brazen and standing his ground and the Cat
is not sure what the hell it is....staring at it
and wanting to watch it some more......and more
so i'm calling it to get the darn cat into the house
(usually he'll run to me but not this time)

and so of course he shines me on completely
making for a BAD situation about to get very worse
and finally the skunk turns around to leave....

so then i grab the damn cat and throw his ass
into the house. Little did he know how many Baths
he was about to have,,, dumb sucka....

Maybe the cat was waiting for YOU to make your move?
Cat:"Hey, this is a little out of my league! You know me, I love to chase mice, chipmonks and squirrels, but this? You do know what they are armed with, don't you? Why don't we just call it a night and borrow someone's dog? They'll chase just about anything for a biscuit!"

The only time my lab didn't get tagged when jumping a skunk was the time she got it into a corner so fast it couldn't get it's ass in the air to fire...

LOL, a friend of mine lived on a golf course and walked his German Sheperd
there every night.
One night the dog ran into the rough and started coughing, wheezing and
choking!!
So my friend runs over and feels this round thing in his throat and sticks his
hand down his mouth thinking he had swallowed a golf ball, but it wouldn't
move, even though he tugged and tugged.

He picked him up and ran home to take him to the vet. He gets in the car and
suddenly smelled a delayed skunk smell and realized the dog got sprayed by
a skunk and what he thought was a golf ball was the poor dogs adams apple.
The dog survived but his car stunk for months.

I have cats. Had dogs as a kid. Miss having a dog. Never had any birds....never wanted one. I hate the smell of a skunk. Reminds me of a time I almost got sprayed by a skunk.....but didn't. Skunks are for the birds. Don't much like mosquitos either.......or house flies. Such pests. Never had either as pets though. Imagine if a mosquito got sprayed by a skunk? Try and give one a bath??? I will have another dog someday though...just not today.

Almost time to get our fish on!!!
