Finally Some good news!!!
Hi all, just an update on Bill, he had a very bad weekend but they think he had formed a small illeous and it has worked itself out, we will know more in a day or so as he started eating solid food again yesterday.
The GOOD NEWS is that they think Bill will recover better at HOME!!!!!!
So we are meeting with his team of doctor, therapist and nurses tomorrow to get the ball rolling, he still has a long way to go but physically he is getting a little stronger every day as far as walking, sitting and that kind of stuff. He will have to have nurses coming in and therapist and he will still need 24 hr care, ie ME to help him. But mentally this will be awesome for him as he is really starting to get down after being in there so long.
The game plan as of now is that they are looking at maybe next week or the week after depending on how his bowels and abdomen are doing. He will have to be medically cleared before he can come home, as he will still be on IV TPN nutrition and IV fluids because of his output thru his ileostomy.
Its going to be hard but it will be awesome to have him home to say the least. I will let you all know when the big day will be so everybody keep praying that he is doing well enough to get home over the next 2 weeks.
On my Dad's situation, they are going to start chemo on him again once a month as they found 2 new small spots back in his lungs which the chemo got rid of before so that is good news as well.
I am just so scared to breath right now as I don't want to wammy anything!!! Again I thank all of you for your wonderful support thruout this whole ordeal with Bill and I, your words of encouragement have meant more to me that you will ever know!!! Thanks!!!

That's great news Jules!!!!! Even just being at home will help Bill's mental well being and therefore other things start improving. That's huge in the fight to get on the road to recovery.
Still praying for you guys.
