AS elite question?
I got the cobra bag a couple seasons ago and tried to fit the 4 round tubes in it and it wouldnt quite fit, considering i didnt buy the bag yet i didnt want to force the issue. Is anyone able to get the 4 round tubes in the cobra bag that comes with the 5 square tubes. And if so can you still fit stuff in front and behind the tubes like a pair of manleys or spool of leader? Its a great bag as is, but i want to try the round tubes for the hell of it.

why not just get a commando or mak bag not much more money and both would be far better products i think, or you could get the cheaper 4 tube mak bag from cc tackle for like 100 bux

i have that "cheap" 4 tube mak and i agree with derek. 10x nicer than my med aquaskinz, probably close to comparable to the AS elite stuff. the commando cube and high end mak 3 and 4 tube stuff is a cut above everything else though

Rob the tubes will fit but I don't think you will be able to get anything in front of them. A couple of guys did it over at the edge last year I think.

Yeah they will fit, I did it and so does toaster on this site, you can still fit stuff in front and behind the tubes.
The trick is to bring the bag with you and try a few different sets. Some seem to fit better than others.
I did a review of the bag on this site and the edge site with the 4 round tubes, holds more than you'll ever need.
I can't do a search from my phone but you should be able to find it.
Hope that helps!!

Rob heres the thread I was referring too.
http://www.striped-bass.com/Stripert...ag-review.html
its a great bag, I sold mine cause it was too big for my personal fishing style, I now use a custom 3 tube commando bag which was well worth the wait.
The AS Elite line is the way to go if you want a readily available long lasting bag.
Toasters (taylor) bag has seen a ton of trips the last two seasons and is still in great shape, the bag has been put through a lot of abuse.

Try tennis ball tubes with a little duct tape to hold together. I fit 4 in my Bronco bag and they don't weigh squat

See, that's the kind of stuff that old surf guys are made of. Back when I started surfcasting (in the dark ages) there were no surf bags available. We went to the local Army/Navy store and bought WW2 gas mask bags. We fabricated tubes out of lots of different materials and they lasted about 5 years before the canvas would rot out from the salt.

I've put the cobra bag through the ringer. No tears or loose stitching. I like the material it is made out of. I have the ebb point 4 tube in it.
Also even if it is a super tight fit when putting the tubes in, the bag will break in and over time it will get easier to jam stuff in front and back of it. Sometimes I just put two tubes in it for plugs and a water bottle then put my riggies next to the tubes.

Tennis ball tubes fit the bill. A few holes in the bottom and no problems. Been using them since the 70's. Stupid easy.

We also used empty Suave shampoo bottles. Plastic, tube shaped and free.

You guys have singlehandedly ruined a whole industry by letting that out of the bag.
Now we will have discussions on which brand of tennis ball tubes go with a 250 VS and a 1321M.
