Colton Rod

For those that might be looking for a new fly rod, I thought I'd
mention the Colton Tradewinds.

I bought the new blue 9wt rod. And I am extremely pleased.
I have 3 Sage xi2s ( 6,7 and 8 wt) I chase Schoolies mostly.
I wanted a beefy 9 or 10 wt but did not want to spend a lot of
money since I don't use 9 or 10 very often ( getting Old........)

The 9wt Colton is a strong rod with a lot of backbone.
It throws 9wt well and does like 10wt line.
I'd say the 9wt is more of a 9 1/2 wt. It loads well and will throw
big flies. I'm throwing 6" deceivers on a 3/0 hook a good 60'.

Tight Lines
