Bluefish watercolor
I did this recently using water colors. This is one of my first tries at this. I used to much color in spots. Overall the drawing came out O.K. I still need much practice. Lessons for this stuff start around $75.00 per hour, so doing it on my own is my only option.

Wow very nice! If that's your first attempt, you have the knack. Try to blend your colors more and use more water on the paper to bleed them together.

Thats the part I am really skeptical about. Didn't want to flood the painting. I know washing is the term, ande I need to work on it. Thanks NEBE

Very nice, Frank! You definitely have some talent. I'm still drawing stick figures.

The fish and mouth etc is excellent , beetter than many I have seen from more experienced people. I do agree some of the color is too much but you really did capture what a bluefish looks like in the basic drawing!

you did very well i think
as the shape is perfect...
colors take more time to master
but most people cannot get the form right
forever and you did it first try....

that looks OUTSTANDING!
two tips:
try wetting the whole sheet of paper before you start this will aid in having the colors blend or melt into eachother a bit more
and go super light on the colors as you can always add a bit more but once its on there its tougher to thin it out!

Nicely done. For blending buy a couple of fan brushes and start fairly dry. You have a good eye obviously just trust it. If you think something is going awry step away from it and come back to it. Great work.
