Lumber yards that have AYC local to Brockton
I know Liberty Cedar in W. Kingstown has it, but there has to be someplace on the south shore that has it as well. I have suggested a purchase of this for my christmas present, and the wife is getting nervous I haven't done anything about it yet. I didn't want this to get buried in the plug buiders forum, I hope no one minds it being posted here. I wanted 1 1/2" sq. as well as 2" square for a secret prototype I have been working on. Any help quickly will be greatly appreciated. Blonde Terror I think I remember you posting something about Stoughton, Mass yard as having it in the past but I don't recall where or what was the name of the place.

Does Beaver Woodworking (across from Brockton Hospital) have it?

Thanks Bo!
I called and spoke with "Ed" and they dont generally carry AYC. He is working up an order for someone else and may consider including some extra for me, but I am going to have to rip it to size. I dont know whether I want to get into that. Has to be someone around here that has it allready cut to size.
The reason I didn't think I wanted to get into ripping wasn't because I couldn't as I have the equipment, I was skeptical about the quality of the rough board as opposed to the perfect stuff that Liberty has allready cit to size and dried perfectly. I should have been more clear.

Frank, where do you live? Ripping is not a big deal. I'm doing it daily (when I am working...) Either here in the shop or have a portable saws I can set up at your place. Probably cheaper if you don't pay the yard to size anyway. Just add a little ayc to the order.

I'd also be willing to size it for you. I live in Bedford Mass.
It might cost you a cup of storebought coffee though.

Thanks Ross. I think I will get the AYC at the Stoughton yard. Waiting for him to call back. It comes random lengths, I think 8"s wide, so I can get what I need from that. I can rip it as well. Have a decent table saw and radial arm saw. I asked him for 2" thick so I can turn some Floyd Romans in AYC. I did some in maple last year and wasn't please with the action. He said 2" should get me at least 1 3/4" to work with clean on the lathe. Changed my mind, like a woman
Thier is no reason why that wont turn up just like milled AYC right?
What was the name of that fly shop again. I want to look it uo on-line.
The lumber yard in Stoughton will not put through an order that would take care of me, too small. No biggie. Go to Liberty or maybe M & D's

Frank I have some real 2x4's if you need a bit. I am pretty sure Salty carries AYC too. Lots of options now, probably too confusing.
