Stones suck... second time in 15 months...
First time I thought I was dying. Yesterday driving to work I felt a little discomfort figured it was the transition between the stomach flu and getting normal. Anyways at work doing what I need to do and I felt it... Dejavu all over again.. Wasn't bad pain but wasn't something I wanted to keep around either. 2hrs later I tell my boss.. I felt it move and figured I could pass it.. NOPE...
Pulled a stupid...
Felt the pain rise a little.. So I told him and bailed..
Should have left when I figured it was a stone..
Pulled into my driveway hurting, I start drinking all kinds of lemon water to the point of wanting to vomit. I took a 15 month old pain pill that I still had and it helped for a bit.. Figured I would pass it at home.. WRONG. 90 minutes later I'm on the floor. This thing is kicking my arse so bad right now, My wife says to me ok your going to the hospital.
I get there tell them what I think it is and what I took. I was in a room before I knew it. It wasn't until the second set of "their" drugs took the pain down to a tolerable level. WTF.. Now I am sitting here drinking lemon water pissing or should I say trinkling into a strainer
They said a little bigger then 3mm.
Last one was 1.5mm but I passed it without catching it.
This one is getting netted, bagged and tagged. I don't want this chit again.

I too remember the HELL of the 1st one, passed just in time but not caught. I was on the table to extract and they did a final X-ray: GONE!
About 10yrs later got that feel again and a little blood in the p, luckily passed twin stones no problem. Never even went to the uro-DR. Still got those 2 in a specimen cup.
I cringe just knowing the pain level you are experiencing....

I have taken pain meds that were ten years old and they were still good. Passed a few small stones with only a little blood and not much discomfort. I am so sorry you are experiencing this at this level of discomfort.

Passed the stone... Like I said going to have the urologist check it and find out why.. From what they were saying at the ER.. Since i had one 15 months ago that was 1/2 the size of this one the next one will be bigger.
Thanks for the well thoughts...

eating citrus prevents them from forming as well as reducing your meat intake
thus reducing your uric acid... not to mention chocolate(alkalinity) intake
they form from your diet being to alkaline (above 7.0)
but the stone analysis will determine the (your) type and the solution

I wish you the best brother. I had a 5.5mm x 7.5mm. Did not pass on it's own. Was stuck in the ureter. Had to have a stent put in (tube from kidney to Bladder) for four weeks. Stent does two things...dialates the ureter and allows passage of urine. Remember all the tools go up through Mr. Happy. So that happened twice...once when he installed the stent and once when he removed it and lasered the stone. Then had to have a temporary stent installed for three days until things settled down. Think string hanging from Mr. happy which was simply yanked out by a nurse. Would not wish this on my worst enemy...what a horrible experience especially when you see blood pouring from Mr. Happy into the diaper that you've been wearing. Honestly I don't ever think I'll be the same...haha. Freakin' awful.
