s-b kids day(s)
slips post got me thinking we are due for a kids day. lets try to do a few trips over the course of the season. the scup trip was good but what else can we do for trips? i was thinking an orv trip would be fun. maybe to race point, does sandy neck still have oversand access? it would be a little closer than RP. lets hear some ideas and put something together

Oversand would be cool but hard to get to in many ways. Though we could do a fall trip after Sep 15 in RI as the beaches are much more open and a lot more have passes (and no bridges to get stuck in).
The pier was a lot of fun and I know the kids would love it . What other locations are there?
Great to bring this back up!

Any places to take the kids squid fishing? Maybe toug fishing if there is a place we can fish safely. We are looking forward to it.
John, we still have Liam's rod. We'll have to meet up soon.

I saw on the squid forum, the cape is doing well now on squid, Falmouth to Chatham. No first hand knowledge thou. Maybe someone local to the area can advise.

I'll offer my boat if you want to take them flounder/harbor fishing one weekend.
Could probably fit 1/2 a dozen kids on the floundahbucket

More than welcome to come check out the hatchery. Could give a guided tour if you could plan it on one of my weekend duty.

That sounds cool Jack, I know my son is into the whole water system and how things live and grow. He would love it. What hatchery are we talking and where is it?

What time are you planning, Niko? We have a lacrosse game Sunday morning at 8 but will be free after that and we have baseball at 1 on Monday.

It's hard enough just for me not to smoke when I get off her. No smoking for Jack!

This upcoming weekend June 2nd or the 3rd either day well take em flounder fishing.
I can take probly a dozen or so, not a charter so were only limited to boats capacity and it's redicilously high-Like 18 people.
Every kid will need their own weight appropriate life jacket though.

I've got to bow out for tomorrow. Got a last minute request to help out my gramps (who's a vet) with some stuff around the house. He's getting a knee replacement next week and won't be able to get to it all him self before going under the knife.
Hope its a good time for all.

We smoked them. Stripers, fluke, scup, butterfish, sea raven, and a bunch of little stuff in the bait/crab traps
