Given the diversity of the human species, there is no “normal” human genome sequence. We are all mutants.

We only spent 2 days but it felt like a week. Played a lot of wiffleball at the common in Oak Bluffs, threw the baseball around, took a few walks and searched out some new spots, had a BLAST crabbing(thanks Pat for the nets), made some new friends(Seth, Greg, Trip, you guys on here?) and managed to find a little time to catch a few Albies. Never took the bass gear off the roof and didn't mind at all.
The kids tournament on the dock was this am. Anthony chose to chase Albies instead(surprised me) but was rewarded after only 15 mins.
Can't wait till next year, and next.........
Lost my Dad last fall, hadn't seen him in 14 years, but he was largely responsible for my love of fishing. We had spoken recently and were trying to rebuild things as much as possible. I was on my way to the airport to see him when he passed. Anyway, on our way to Squibby after crabbing in Quonsoo Creek(Anthony say's "Dad, we make a great team" while herding crabs) Mike and the Mechanics' Living Years comes on the radio. Powerful stuff.

Sorry.....
Please apologize to Anthony for borrowing some of his thread's thunder, but he'll have some competition in a few years...
3 years old handling a 10.5' rod with intense pencil-popping action....I was laughing my Az$# off....
Bluefish continue to amaze me....all I had to do was cast, the little man did the rest...tough job being a proud dad...

Very cool, Rick! Congrats to Anthony (and dad of course). Nothing better than being able to share something you love with your kid and having him love it as much as you.

Conservatism is not about leaving people behind. Conservatism is about empowering people to catch up, to give them tools at their disposal that make it possible for them to access all the hope, all the promise, all the opportunity that America offers. - Marco Rubio

It's funny John, I don't think he loves it yet, maybe never will, but he likes it enough. Not usually his first choice of things to do but we make an adventure out of it and he likes that. Try to limit the time fishing, even if we are catching. Mix in liberal amounts of baseball/wiffleball/minigolf/watching movies and now CRABBING, makes for a heck of a weekend.
