Possible Nor'easter Next Week

Say it isn't so.

Long way off but it looks like some models are showing a possible Nor'easter next Wednesday

You have to credit the weather people on Sandy - they had that forecast nailed from WAY out. I first saw some noise about it 7 days before, complete with a landfall prediction that ended basically being right on.

FNMOC Wave model shows the storm blossoming in CN not US

hours 144 + with SNE having off shore winds

https://www.fnmoc.navy.mil/wxmap_cgi...6&set=SeaState

5 day blended model from HPC also suppports this, showing a 1005 storm in CN. But coming through here in wed through thurs

So there are conditions that can impact this storm that are still uncertain, it is a similar blend of atmospheric energy to Sandy, but on a MUCH SMALLER energy scale.

US weather teams currently favor the ECMWF in almost all cases.

weather.com looks out the window and changes their story
as it happens...

totally unreliable forcasting...

although one day they predicted the rain starting down to the minute
it was GOD like ....because it started exactly as predicted
so accurate you could set a watch by it...

but truly....we rely on your weather reports Bill more than you know

Weather guys (T Kelly) used the term "bombogenesis" for developing storm. 50+mph winds

when Tim says that, it's not good. he actually graduated from metrologist school.

NAO is negative, water is still comparatively warm, this is a siberian outbreak, that is draggin gulf moisture along with it,

it gets bottled up beneaht the REX block in the North Atlantic and goes "BOOM"

3.5-4 inches of of precip, Most of northern NE, VT, NH, western ME, western MA will get snow of it stays on track
