Suprise trip, need help packing
Found out when I got home from work last night that my wife booked me off from work for 10 days and we are going to St. Maarten. Our last trip had to be cancelled for family reasons, which took up all our families time besides work for the last 6 months. So I did all the research I could last night and need some help picking lures to bring. Snook, jack, tarpon, & snapper. My outlaws are non-fishers but work in a marina so I will get some bait fishing suggestions from some people for the dinner table, but I want to bring my own lures. Gonna bring tins, cocahoes, Storm mullets, magic minnows, and bucktails. What else? I'd like to bring some wood Also gonna bring a small shark set-up as my father outlaw says I cant go for a night swim because shark come into his bay every night.

It depends upon where and what conditions you will be fishing, quite waters of a harbor, back bay, mangrove shorelines or fast running water around inlets.
As mentioned, DOA lures are a good choice - I personally like the shallow running baitbuster, the regular terrorEyz and the CAL ... for the baitbuster and terroreyz - I have had great success with with silver glitter/green back - work them slow, and they work great, easy to pack. They will work for tarpon, snook and jacks - and depending upon the snapper, the terroreyz and CAL will work.
Spooks are great too ... and the choices you are planning on bringing should work as well ... just make sure your hooks are super sharp as tarpon have super hard mouths, you need sharp and strong hooks.
Please take photos.

Dad Bomba fishes a lot down there. He likes red files with a casting egg, I think.
He ends up with lots of tarpon and needlefish.
He might not be on tonight, but he's a valuable resource for down there.

Beautiful island. My wife and I have stopped there twice while cruising. Cannot help with the fishing but bring the wife over to the French side of the island and hit Orient Beach. Leave the swimsuits home.
