Great fish by any measure Dave, I hope your right, but I'd have to go with Mike on this one. The stripers just don't weigh as much as they did back in the 80's, when a 50 inch fish was a 50# fish. My 52 inch fish for example was 52 lbs, the following year one at 55" was just over 55 lbs. I'd bet between Mike's 44 and 47 lbs, either way it's a nice fish, how about some details. Hey we want the exact spot, parking, lure, tides, we are all lazy by nature; come on give it up.

Guys, this could be very close as I think Dave is fishing down in NJ.
Those fish down there have been gorging on menhaden...might be different situation!
Way to go Dave! Send us pics!

Congratulations Dave
A fish of a lifetime is nothing to sneeze about. My knees would be shaking also.
Please tell us more and we want to see pics.
So did you bring it to more than one shop?
What did ya get her on?
Was it from shore?
Dedication sure pays off , good going!
