Investing in a new rod

So last night I was at the canal and on my third cast I snapped my rod. So now I'm in the market for a new rod. I'm hoping someone can recommend a rod that is geared towards throwing 3-4oz jigs at the canal but that I can still use for throwing plugs. I'm also looking for something with a warranty if possible. I don't mind spending the money up front Oh and I'm looking to spend under $200.

Hope I'm not looking for a unicorn. Any advice would be great

Thanks

Steve

$200 budget may rule out a custom rod. Maybe give Cms in new bedford, a call and let them know your budget and what you're looking for.

For a rod to specifically jig 3 and 4 ounces, maybe some of the dedicated canal jiggers can chime in and make some suggestions.

TFO. I think they're right around $200. Red Top should have them. I don't know whether M&Ds carries them.

Tip broke twice and you are still recommending it? That's surprising. If a rod had a tip break twice on me I wouldn't even want a new one if it was free.

Well it would help if I knew how to land a fish.
I was thinking of changing my name to HIGH STICK DAVE.
