Anyone see albies yet this year in any numbers?

I heard they have not even arrived in montauk yet so we may be a ways off still.

Wonder if they show at all????? Last year at this time we were ass deep in albies

I hear of rumors but I have not seen any myself. Went out to the hooter and beyond yesterday...nothing exciting to report.

Nothing in Narragansett. Been down snooping around a fair amount and haven't see a thing of anything. Plenty of bait in the water--little stuff--but nothing on them. Not sure what is happening west of Point Judith, down the south shore.

I think Steve likes me more when I show up with Patrick, but there really seems to be nothing going on so far. Maybe this front pushing through will change things up a bit. Fingers and toes crossed!

Fished the PJ area for 3-4 hours this afternoon and didn't see any or bat for that matter.

Everything is better on the rocks.

I heard from a reliable source that Montauk was loaded with them on Friday, but on Monday they couldn't be found anywhere from Plum - Fishers - Montauk triangle.
I took next week off to try and find them.
I hope I didn't pick too soon.

Last year on the 10th, I caught 10 albies. This year - nada. On Monday off SoCo, I saw what appeared to be funny fish surface for 12 seconds or so, and then vanish.

I landed a nice albie on the backside of Fishers Sunday evening...saw one little blitz, I happened to be in the perfect spot when it happened. But it has been slow and/or late in coming...

Good luck next week!

So far were definitley a week behind. Even the bass bite locally is slow right now. Hoards of bluefish, they are everywhere. And this blow that coming today is going to keep me at the dock till the end of the weekend. Banking on it opening up next week.
