Camping near Eastham?

Next summer, we want to to take the camper to the Cape for a week. I have little kids who love First Encounter Beach in Eastham, and my wife loves Truro. So we'll spend a lot of time in that area, so I don't want to camp too far away.

I'd prefer a campground that offers full hookups, maybe a nice private facility that has a few amenities for the kids.

Any suggestions?

Jim check out Atlantic Oaks, right on Rt. 6 in Eastham. We had friends that stayed there a few years ago and had a good experience. We hung out with them one night there, and the place seemed nice. Wooded lots, full hook ups, clean shower/bathroom facilities. I don't believe it had a pool, but its close to town and the beaches.

Thanks for the suggestion, we will check that out. Sounds like a nice place. A pool would be nice, but certainly not a requirement.

Spoke to my brother in law who used to have a house down there and he highly suggested the Sweetwater Forest Campground in Brewster. Its very family oriented, with a TON of stuff to do for kids and adults. All kinds of activities, playgrounds, arcade, and very nice people who run it. I've never seen it Jim, but they said they would recommend it over Atlantic Oaks. He said they have a website so maybe just Google it. Hope it helps.

Maurices is nice and quiet, not a lot for kids though. Atlantic Oaks is better, if you can get in to Sweetwater, you can't go wrong there either

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
